Workshops aimed at 8 – 14 year old at Tate Modern (October – December 2017 tin response to lack of Black British artists in Tate Galleries permanent collection. After researching with gallery staff I found out that less than 10 of over the 3750 something artists were black British.

The workshops used projections, white cotton and drawing inks to allow participants of all ages to create a mural reflecting the many established and emerging black artists that Tate could include in the future collection.

Since these workshops the collection has drastically changed and the Tate now has many more Black British artists in its permanent collection.
